Ecosource offers free field trips to our Iceland Teaching Garden for youth to connect with nature. Currently, our field trips are offered to school classes, grades 7-12, post secondary institutions, and community organizations who serve both youth and racialized communities across Peel. Priority will be given to schools that score high on the Peel District School Board’s Socioeconomic Vulnerability Index.

What we offer: 

• Hands-on gardening and food-growing activities led by Ecosource staff
• Opportunities for participants to harvest and take home fresh produce, along with educational resources 
  
• Curriculum-linked learning focused on food systems, climate, and urban agriculture 
  
• Programs for groups of up to 25 participants 
  
• Session lengths ranging from 1 to 3 hours 
  
• Availability from May through October 
  
• Bus subsidies available
