Young Urban Growers
April 30 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
Are you interested in food and urban agriculture? Would you like to help develop our new food podcast, grow food for local food banks, cook meals with others, or increase awareness of local food in our community?
Join us at the inaugural meeting for Young Urban Growers for a visioning session on food and urban agriculture in Peel. Young Urban Growers is a skills training network for youth (ages 15-25) in Peel. Each month, we will meet to learn about and discuss local food and urban agriculture topics. At this meeting, we will kick-off our podcast and create a community zine.
If you are outside the ages of 15 and 25, consider becoming a mentor for the network. Volunteer hours available for high school students.
