Eating Seasonally Through the Winter

Cooking with local food is a great way to reduce your impact on the environment, support local farmers, and is often more flavourful and healthier for you! In the winter months it can sometimes be more difficult to find fresh, local produce, and easy to get stuck in the same recipes.
At this event, we’ll be cooking together with local, winter vegetables, and sharing a meal together. Through this workshop you will learn:
-What veggies are in season during Ontario winters
No prior cooking experience required – beginners welcome.
Suitable for ages 10+ (participants aged 10-13 must be accompanied by someone 16+)
