Community Gardens Coordinator
(905) 274-6222
Coming from a long line of farmers, Allison has inherited a profound connection to the land and a deep appreciation for those who support the local food system.
Allison holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Studies and has worked with communities to reduce their impact on the environment. Through her work on community climate action plans, she has learned the value of community gardens, not only in how they strengthen relationships in a community but also in their ability to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. She is looking forward to building partnerships in the community and creating more opportunities for everyone to get involved in the local food system.
In her free time, Allison tends to her garden where she grows various vegetables and her favourite thing – sunflowers!
