Sustainable Peel – Education and Action for Change (SPEAC) is a new project that will undertake to connect residents in the Peel Region with their natural environment and take concrete action to create more sustainable neighborhoods. The SPEAC project aims to engage individuals of all ages in creative opportunities to reimagine, design, and install community improvements that address local environmental issues.
The SPEAC project will be delivering educational and action-driven projects to increase public engagement and community impact around water conservation, alternative energy, food systems, and waste reduction.
Join us for a hands-on learning experience in the field and explore our learning modules below!
Our Sustainability Education team will be delivering these programs beginning in the fall of 2017. Participants will get a chance to learn about innovative sustainability projects through hands-on demonstrations and activities. If you are interested in a sustainability education session for your class or community group, please contact Sophia Dungan at email@example.com.
We are seeking partnerships with community-driven and environmentally forward thinking agencies or organizations to join us in implementing new projects at their sites. These projects will be participatory, based on community need, and educate community members about sustainability. If an agency you work for or attend is a great candidate for this sponsored project, please contact Sophia Dungan at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Keep checking our events page to see if we will be attending any local events soon!
