Environmental Youth-Adult Partnerships

The Environmental Youth-Adult Partnerships (EYAP) Project is a collaboration that helps us to continuously uphold good practices for youth and adults to work together for positive change in our communities across Ontario.

Working Together for Change

The EYAP Project stems from the experiences of Ecosource’s Peel Environmental Youth Alliance (PEYA) program and endeavors to strengthen intergenerational learning and action within the environmental movement in Ontario. Individuals and organizations that participate in environmentally-focused youth-adult partnerships came together to share ideas, good practices, tools and resources from 2009-2011. Research, tools and activities collected as part of this project are available in the Environmental Youth-Adult Partnerships Guide.

PEYA and Ecosource operate under the following broad definition of youth-adult partnership: “Youth and adults teach one another, learn from one another and act together. Decision making is shared.”
