All Indigenous and non-Indigenous youth are welcome to join us for an inspiring and empowering day to discuss water and the role of youth with Nancy Rowe. Nancy is a Mississauga Ojibwe of the Aanishinaabek Nation located at New Credit First Nation, Ontario and coordinator of Akinomaagaye Gaamik, a grassroots initiative that provides educational opportunities for all people interested in Indigenous perspectives of life, health, education, history, and the environment. Please bring water, snacks and a lunch for the day as well as weather-appropriate clothing.
Meet at 10:00 a.m. at Ben Machree Park

Workshop will end at 4:00 p.m. at JC Saddington Park

Public transit tickets are available to any participants travelling within Mississauga/Brampton. All mileage will be reimbursed for Indigenous youth travelling from outside of Mississauga.
This workshop is part of the summer Travelling the Credit Workshop Series that aims to engage Indigenous and non-Indigenous youth in place-based learning about the Credit River through Indigenous story-telling.
