July 7, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Date: July 7th and 8th

Time: 10am-4pm

Place: Ecosource Office and Riverrun Park (transportation to park will be provided)

Do you enjoy exploring nature? Would you like to learn more about the species that live in your local community? Join us during a FREE two-day (July 7-8) workshop for youth (ages 12-24) led by Mira Jones, an experienced environmental consultant and artist. Participants will learn about native and medicinal species of the Credit River watershed from Indigenous perspectives, and learn to build a plant press to take home! Lunch and snacks will be provided. This workshop is part of the summer Travelling the Credit Workshop Series that aims to engage Indigenous and non-Indigenous youth in place-based learning about the Credit River through Indigenous story-telling.
