Meadow Green Plays! Volunteer Day

May 12 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

It’s time to continue our work on the Meadow Green de-pave project! On November 25th, 2017 a group of amazing volunteers and Ecosource staff began the work of naturalizing a decommissioned basketball court in Meadow Green Park. We braved the chilly weather but quickly warmed up as we pushed wheelbarrows, shoveled soil and sand, and helped each other learn new skills. With assistance from the City of Mississauga, the space is now ready to become a play-friendly natural area in the park.

On May 12th we will be doing spring planting! Please join us for a day of learning, digging, and celebrating as we conclude this phase of the Meadow Green project.

After you register for this event on Eventbrite,  please print and fill out a volunteer form (download form here). You must have a completed form in order to participate. Ecosource welcomes volunteers of all ages and high school students are eligible to receive volunteer hours. Feel free to drop in at any point during the specified time if you are unavailable for the entire length of the event. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to connect with your neighbours and give back to your community!
